Even so, I can forgive that if it's not realistic. I still love Jessica's wit, charm, and intelligence. She can get along with just about anyone, but don't get on her bad side because she will find a way to stick it to you!
Put on your mask.
Set your mood.
Go make them laugh
when you're so sad.
Deeper and deeper it goes,
the more "the entertainer" glows.
Help a few or more.
Save yourself?
Always moving with the plastic smile
and the image you send.
It's easier that way.
All you have to do is pretend.
It'll never end.

The tears fall
as petals gently fall from a flower
clear and full of memories
emotion overload
rock with the beating seas
watch with intensity
and pay the fees
the wind blows
as whispering among the trees
secrets get told that way
the sun sets
deep color washes the sky
gather the thoughts and last longings
prepare as the moon rises high

I am looking for someone to love me.
I've looked but you are nowhere.
So hard I tried
But yet you were always there.
Someone to share my burden,
to you I would pray,
not realizing that sometime
you would save the day.
My faith has never been so strong
nor has it been so confused.
Show me the way
and I'll never refuse.

What if I had said I loved you?
What if I had said I cared?
Would the past have stayed untainted?
I have wondered all these years.
What if I had gone the distance?
Would I have remained in your heart?
Or was I just a convenience
to keep your mind off something else?
What if I had met you
that day in the park?
Could we have even endured our time apart?
What if I had hugged you,
that night while we were drunk?
Would you be here with me now,
Would my heart still be tearing apart?
I think Joseph Fiennes and Winona Ryder are great in the movie. They have an interesting chemistry. Ryder still has a childlike naivety that makes you giggle when she starts swearing at Fiennes' character. And Fiennes, who so often plays the good looking suave men, plays a kind of dorky guy, irking Ryder at every turn and twist.
The stories within the story are hilarious, and I'm not sure if they are factual or not. It doesn't matter. I could see watching this over and over. The rest of the cast is excellent as well.
"Brains, Know How and Native Intelligence"
Today we meet Chris!
Things I love about this episode:
Walt Whitman poetry
Joel's toilet angst!
Ed's Uncle Anku
Maurice's Over the Top Anger - and subsequent obsession with playing Musical Theater on air
Taken from tv.com:
Ed asks Dr. Fleischman to help him convince his uncle, a traditional
tribal medicine man, to seek medical treatment for a health problem. A
self-reliant Maggie chides Joel about being helpless around the house.
Chris angers Maurice when he reads some poetry by Walt Whitman and
uncovers some facts about the poet's life that Maurice would prefer not
knowing.
